Growing a future-focused workforce
The Paradise People Educational Program enhances the transition of future accountants, business consultants, and tech experts from tertiary education to full-time employment. The pillars of execution for the program focus on [1] enhanced critical thinking skills development; [2] work readiness; and [3] leadership development. Over 4 weeks, candidates will participate in theory, practical, and on-the-job training in relevant topics for the current Bahamian market. At the end of the program, candidates will be well-positioned to work effectively in the field of accounting and navigate the local business environment efficiently.
Program Schedule
A combination of virtual and in-person activities comprises the program's execution. The curriculum is divided into four phases.
Phase I: Orientation and Internal Procedures Training
Phase II: Digital Business Services
Phase III: Government & Non-Profit Initiatives
Phase IV: Leadership in a Changing Environment
Candidates will also have the option to gain specialized knowledge and professional exposure in the following industries: Food & Beverage, Health & Wellness, Shipping & Logistics, and Artificial Intelligence
Additional Benefits
Program Stipend: successful candidates receive a weekly stipend ranging between $400 and $590 (depending on experience and interview success)
Talent Pool Enrollment: after successful completion of the program, candidates will be eligible to participate in the Talent Pool, which provides priority access to paid casual & contracted work assignments for a minimum of one year, and a potential path to permanent employment.
Eligibility Requirements:
[1] Bahamian citizen between the ages of 16 and 25
[2] A high school graduate or currently enrolled in a post-secondary program, with a demonstrated interest in business, accounting, or finance, and a strong affinity for technology and digital tools, particularly the use of AI in a professional or academic setting.
[3] Strong interpersonal and communication skills, self-motivated, and demonstrated ability to work under pressure
